BCA Industrial Group autumn meeting (DEADLINE EXTENDED 1st NOVEMBER)

By | September 12, 2013

The BCA Industrial Group is having its autumn meeting on the 12th and 13th of November at the diamond light source.

Together We Stand Divided We Fall: Crystallography Within Material Science

This year’s Autumn meeting will focus on bringing together case studies across a range of industries that illustrate how there can never be one technique to solve all problems and that only by combining techniques can we fully understand our materials. The session titles are Mineralogy & Materials, Engineering Materials, Catalysis in Action and Pharmaceutical Materials.

Although this meeting will be showing a range of case studies across industrial sectors, the application of techniques are still relevant no matter if they are applied to a catalyst or a drug. It will be a great opportunity to network with other specialists from industry and other academic institutions. Additionally, there will also be a chance to go on a tour of the Diamond Light Source Synchrotron. A great experience if you haven’t seen it already.

10 FREE* student places are available to those students submitting a related posterĀ  (*covering registration fees)

Submissions should be made to the BCA IG secretary, Brett Cooper ([email protected]) by the 1st November 2013.

Students will be notified no longer than one week later if the submission has been successful.
