WE, the BCA 2015 Programme and Organising Committee invite you to the University of York in the springtime of 2015 for a diverse and exciting meeting featuring talks, posters, workshops and a commercial exhibition. You are invited to submit an abstract for a talk in any of the sixteen topical micro-symposia. In addition we offer a ‘General and Hot topics’ option, and depending on demand we may run extra micro-symposia.
The registration and abstract submission forms are now open.
The deadline for oral abstract submissions, including submission for the YCG Satellite Meeting, is 09.00 GMT, Friday 16 January, 2015. The final deadline for poster abstracts is Monday 2 March, 2015. Decisions on oral presentations will be made by early February 2015.
The York Exhibition Centre provides us with the opportunity for parallel workshops as training sessions to improve our skills for our continual professional development. The world ranked York Structural Biology Laboratory has taken the lead on behalf of the BSG to create an exciting structural biology programme and workshops for BSG members. A vigorous involvement of the CCG, PCG and IG bring forefront topics and speakers both national and international, and their own workshops. A range of commercial suppliers also are providing workshops. The Young Crystallographers have organised their own Satellite meeting immediately before the conference.
York is also a delightful historic city set in magnificent and diverse Yorkshire countryside. So why not consider a pre or post conference tour of the Yorkshire Dales or visit Cloughton near Scarborough where the Braggs, father and son, discussed the Laue diffraction photographs in the summer of 1912.
This is your BCA Annual conference, and a chance for you to meet up with old friends and make new friends. Keep an eye on the conference website as details develop further.
